The Berge Tackle Scent Dispenser is designed to attract fish on three different levels – scent, sight and sound. 

Mini Scent Dispenser     3" Long x 1.25" Round

 Not only does the revolutionary patent pending scent chamber allow you the versatility to use liquid, solid, or gel scents, but it works more effectively than anything on the market.

The flow-through chamber is customizable to allow you to control the rate of scent dispersal. This unique design helps your scent products leave a stronger trail and last longer than ever before.

 The Berge Tackle Scent Dispenser is available in multiple colors and comes with reflective tape that you affix to your Scent Dispenser as your fishing situation requires.

Scent Dispenser     6" Long x 2.5" Round

Our reflective tape adds the allure of the proven flasher technique to an already effective scent dispenser. The Berge Tackle Scent Dispenser comes in several colors to fit your fishing situation or to simulate a fish's natural prey – Herring, Mackerel, Sardines.  

As the Berge Tackle Scent Dispenser moves through the water it spins. Customize the rate and fashion of the spin for your fishing conditions (ie. slower, off-centered, egg-rolled).

 The Berge Tackle Scent Dispenser attract fish as it moves through the water creating a considerable amount of vibration that fish "hear" even if they are far away, as well as creating the highly alluring clicking sound! This works ideally in trolling situations.

Enlarging Chamber: Use a pointed tool to enlarge one or both chamber holes to increase scent dispersal. We suggest leaving one at the standard size for liquids and increasing the other to 1/8" round for solids.

Spin Speed: To slow spin speed – cut fins at any of the three mark lines. This is especially useful when trolling. For those who want to represent an injured bait fish cut one fin to create an asymmetrical (Egg Roll) spin that will attract predator fish.

Thicker Liquids & Gels: For thicker liquids and gels you may want to increase the flow into your Scent Dispenser by enlarging the hole to 1/8" inside the plastic canister, this will allow for more flow, resulting in a faster rate of scent delivery. We also recommend, adding two 1/32" holes into the plastic canister to increase the scent even more. Your scent will still last hours.

Solids & Tablets: When using solids or tablets we suggest adding an additional hole in the scent chamber. Just like with thicker liquids and gels you can enlarge the size of the lid and chamber hole to customize your scent delivery.

Reflector Tape: Use the provided reflector tape for added visibility

Your liquid or oil scents should last approx. 30 minutes and solids last for hours.

1. Tie end of main line to a triple swivel.
2. Tie a 24-36" line to the other end of swivel.
3. Tie a snap swivel on the end of line and snap on the Berge Tackle Scent Dispenser.
4. Tie another snap swivel on opposite end of the scent dispenser and attach an 18-24" leader line.
5. At the other end of your leader line attach hook, lure, herring, quick fish or our Little Stinker Scent Dispenser.
6. Run a 24-36" weight line from the triple swivel down to a 6-18 ounce weight depending on the water conditions.

Note: If you get take downs without hooking up try shortening your leader line

 

 

Bottom Fish feed by scent. The Berge Tackle Big Stinker Scent Dispenser increases scent in the water.

Install the Berge Tackle Big Stinker Scent Dispenser inline above your slip weight. This allows it to stay above the bottom and dispense a more effective herring or bait scent trail.

1. Tie main line to the front of your diver.
2. Attach snap swivels on each end of a 24-48" line.
3. Snap one end to diver and one to Scent Dispenser.
4. Attach another snap swivel on the end of the Scent Dispenser.
5. Create leader line 18 to 24 inches long and attach lure or herring. If running herring create leader 36 inches or more. If you get "take downs" and no "hook ups" shorten leader.

Just hook the scent dispenser right on to your ball. Then run your release off the end of the dispenser. This has proven to be a favorite set-up for Trollers.

 

Change your scent distribution: To keep your oils and liquids longer, bore both the chamber and lid holes to 1/8". Soak a piece of sponge or wad of yarn in your scent, and place in the scent chamber.

Low cost scent: Try buying tuna or sardines packed in oil. Drain off the oil and use as your scent.

Glowing effect: First, seal both the hole in the lid and the hole in the chamber. Next, take a non-toxic glow stick of your choice, crack it and cut off the top end. Pour the glowing liquid into your chamber and put the lid on. Bingo, you have a glowing scent dispenser. Works great with the frost color dispenser. Make sure you have a good seal so none of the glowing liquid can leak into the water.

Using as a Lure: When going after large fish like Sturgeon, Tuna and Tarpon, you can use the Berge Tackle Scent Dispenser as a lure as well. Simply attach a hook to the back eyelet using a chain swivel, or attach a six inch line strung with red beads and a hook to the end. 

Cleaning: To clean out old scent or residual oils, rinse out dispenser area with water. Then put through one dishwasher cycle. Works like a charm!

Dave Pitts Scent Idea: Last summer, I bought an old blender from a yard sale, and I catch a ton of Anchovies and Sardines. My favorite scent recipe to use is a combination of warmed Vaseline and Anchovies or Sardines. I heat the Vaseline until it liquefies and place that and the Anchovies in the blender, blend, then pack my dispensers full and freeze them.

Attracting fish with their three main senses and using one simple piece of tackle can triple your chances of catching more fish.

NEW TECHNIQUES

Try using a 16mm Syringe or an Injector for gels.  This is an effective way to fill your Scent Dispenser's without removing the lids. 

All you have to-do is make the lid hole's a little larger than your Syringe or Injector. As you squeeze the gel in you push the excess water out.  This is quick and easy with NO MESS.  Your gel will last about 45 min's.

NOTE:

When using this technique, check your injector or syringe for plastic that may be left in the needle after punching out the lid holes.
